Eligible students must be either broadfield social studies teaching majors or education majors minoring in economics, geography, history, political science, or sociology and have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above. The student must also provide evidence of commitment to their field through active work on projects relating to their degree.
Financial need may be considered.

|Selection Procedure||The Education Scholarship Committee will select the recipient of the scholarship based upon the criteria above.|
|Selection Deadline||On or about April 1.|
|Notification||The office of the associate dean of Education and Human Sciences will notify the recipient by letter. The recipient will be invited to participate in the College of Education and Human Sciences awards ceremony each spring.|
