|Amount||One award of $1,500.|
Open to second-semester freshmen, sophomore, junior or senior undergraduates preparing to be a preschool, elementary, middle or secondary special education teacher in cognitive disabilities, early intervention or learning disabled. A GPA of 3.0 is required for application.
Financial need may be considered.
The renewal of this scholarship will be based upon the recipient's academic performance, commitment to volunteerism with persons with disabilities and potential for becoming a highly effective teacher of children with disabilities.

|Selection Procedure||The Education Scholarship Committee will select the recipient of the scholarship based upon the criteria above.|
|Selection Deadline||On or about April 1.|
|Notification||The office of the associate dean of Education and Human Sciences will notify the recipient by letter. The recipient will be invited to participate in the College of Education and Human Sciences awards ceremony each spring.|
|Thank You||Thank you letters are not necessary as family members are deceased.|
