The Sentry Insurance Foundation will award two scholarships to incoming freshmen to promote educational opportunities and encourage gifted academic leaders who have chosen to major in any of the following disciplines: business administration, business economics, computer sciences or IS, accounting, finance, management, marketing, mathematics (actuarial science major is also acceptable) or health care administration.
The scholarships are renewable for up to three additional years, as long as the recipient maintains a GPA of 3.3 or above, and continues to pursue a degree in one of the areas listed above. Students who will not be attending for the full academic year in their final senior year are not eligible to receive the full amount of the award.
Candidates must rank in the top 15% of their graduating class and show a record of involvement in extracurricular activities, community activities, charitable organizations and other endeavors that indicate significant leadership and outstanding leadership potential.
Financial need will be considered on an informal basis, especially in a tie-breaking situation.

The Admissions Office will coordinate the selection process, which is highly competitive. Applications will be considered holistically and include a review of the student's high school transcript, test scores, essays, class rank, class rigor, activities/involvement, etc.
|Selection Deadline||Screening of candidates will begin in December for some early awards and continue through the spring or until awards are accepted.|
|Notification||Award notices will be sent to recipients by the beginning of April of the student's senior year. If scholarships are declined, they will be re-awarded to alternates through the summer months. For renewals, the Financial Aid office will confirm eligibility and continue awarding the scholarship. Financial Aid will also send notification to recipients for the second through fourth years, and notify Sentry and the Foundation of the renewals.|
