|Amount||One award of $1,000.|
Awarded during the spring semester to a junior accounting major with financial need who has been admitted to the College of Business. The student must have completed 60-90 credits by June of the current academic year, and must: show above-average academic achievement with a 3.0 or above grade point average, have participated in University, department, or community organizations, have potential for leadership as displayed by activities while in college, and be an individual with the desire to enter the accounting profession.
The recipient must also come from the CliftonLarsonAllen service area and have a desire to remain in that area.
In the event of a tie, the award will be given to the student with the highest overall GPA at that time.
|Application Procedure||The Accounting and Finance department determines who receives the award.|
|Application Deadline||Applications become available the week before spring break and are due the week after spring break.|
|Selection Procedure||The selection of candidates will be made by the department scholarship committee in consultation with representatives of CliftonLarsonAllen. Each award shall not be divided among two or more candidates.|
|Selection Deadline||Spring semester, before the University Honors Banquet.|
|Notification||One half of the award will become available at each of the subsequent two semesters. The department sends a completed Scholarship Award Form to the Financial Aid office.|
|Special Notes||This scholarship was established through contributions made by UW-Eau Claire alumni and other associates employed by CliftonLarsonAllen as a manifestation of their esteem for the excellent job done in preparing accountants for the profession. The purpose of this fund is to recognize the contributors' high regard for broad participation in activities -- academic and non-academic -- and their desire to enhance educational opportunities for young people.|
