|Amount||One award of $1,500.|
This scholarship is available to assist a junior or senior level Elementary Education major with an above average GPA who has financial need. The student must have illustrated within the department that they are serious about a career in the teaching field.
The award is open to students from any geographical region
There may be multiple awards or full tuition awards when sufficient income has been generated in the principal fund as determined by the Foundation.
Seniors who had received the award as juniors should apply again for their senior year.

|Selection Procedure||The Education Scholarship Committee, in consideration with the Curriculum and Instruction Department, will review the applications and select the recipient.|
|Selection Deadline||On or about May 1.|
|Notification||The office of the associate dean of Education and Human Sciences will notify the recipient by letter. The recipient will be invited to participate in the College of Education and Human Sciences awards ceremony each spring.|
|Special Notes||The student is expected to attend the Education Recognition Event, generally held in May.|
