Roger Groenewold Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be an incoming freshman or transfer student approved for admission and show great potential for contribution to theatre performance or technical theatre.

Recipient must be a Theatre major or minor. If there are no Theatre major or minors eligible for this scholarship, the award may be given in the following academic year, resulting in two awards given in that year instead of one.

Candidates must have a minimum of a 25 composite on the ACT (or comparable SAT) AND rank in the top 25% of their graduating class (or GPA of 3.5) to be eligible.

Selection Procedure The sub-committee will review applications and select the recipients, then notify the Steering Committee of its selection.
Selection Deadline Screening of candidates will begin in December for some early awards and continue through the spring or until awards are accepted.
Notification The recipient of the scholarship will receive official notification from the department of Music and Theatre Arts.
