Eligibility Criteria This scholarship is open to students with Special Education majors who some day will teach persons who have mental handicaps and are disadvantaged. The financial need of the applicant is to be a consideration for selection of the scholarship recipient, as well as scholastic ability. Applicants should be full-time students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preference to state applicants may also be considered, particularly those who plan to teach in Wisconsin after graduation. Awards are renewable for recipients, upon a recommendation of the Scholarship Committee.
Application Procedure

Go to the Gold for Blugolds Scholarship Network. Complete the Teacher Education Scholarship Application.

Selection Procedure The Education Scholarship Committee will select the recipient of the scholarship based upon the criteria above.
Selection Deadline On or about April 1.
Notification The office of the associate dean of Education and Human Sciences will notify the recipient by letter. The recipient will be invited to participate in the College of Education and Human Sciences awards ceremony each spring.
