Dr. John R. Bergstrom Geology Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria Recipients must be female (both (non-traditional or traditional students are eligible) geology majors of junior or senior status, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, show financial need as required by the UW-Eau Claire Foundation’s scholarship award standards, and be involved in the community in an aspect outside of themselves. Community involvement can be anything: church group work, volunteering, outreach activities, etc.
Application Procedure Go to the Gold for Blugolds Scholarship Network. Complete the Geology Scholarship Application.
Selection Procedure The Geology Department will coordinate the competitive selection process.
Selection Deadline On or around the end of April.

The winner will be notified by a letter from the department chair. Applicants not receiving the scholarship will also be notified by a letter.

The scholarship money will be deposited into the student's account in the Business Office. Half of the scholarship money will be transferred at the start of the fall semester and the other half at the start of the spring semester.

Thank You The recipient is expected to write a thank you letter addressed to Sandra Chamberlain, and send it in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
