Automatic award of $6,000 total, with an award of $1,500 per year.
|Availability||The scholarship will be available for the incoming freshman class of 2017 and 2018. The scholarship program will be revisited for future classes.|
Incoming freshman students must have an ACT of 25 or greater (or SAT equivalent), and be in the top 25% of their high school class (or a 3.5 GPA if class is unranked) at point of admission. Eligible students must graduate from one of the high schools located within a 30 mile radius of UW-Eau Claire. |Selection Procedure||The UW-Eau Claire admission application and criteria will be reviewed upon admission.|

|Special Notes||Vicki Lord Larson, PhD, CCC-SLP, is a Chancellor Emerita. She received her bachelor's, masters, and doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She met her husband Jim while they were both students at UW-Madison. Both were strong supporters of higher education and the advancement of research in a chosen discipline. Jim, who passed away in 2004, was her source of support and encouragement throughout her career.|
