Special Notes

The Accola family has created this scholarship to honor a daughter and sister who loved learning. Students and faculty both knew Roxanne for her incredible kindness and willingness to listen and lead. Roxanne majored in physics with a minor in math and founded the Society for Women in the Physical Sciences at UW-Eau Claire. Roxie created WSTEM to help students at UW-Eau Claire build a community centered on a passion for gender equality in the STEM disciplines, especially those fields where women are greatly underrepresented such as physics and other physical sciences.

Thank You Recipients of this scholarship are requested to write a thank you note addressed to 'The Accola Family' and send it in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office.
