|Amount||The Centennical Experience Scholarship offers twenty-five awards at $2,500 for incoming freshmen. This scholarship works hand-in-hand with the Centennial Experience High Impact Practices Scholarships, which offer $2,500 in funding to participate in high impact practices at UW-Eau Claire.|
The Centennial Experience Scholarship offers twenty-five $2,500 awards that are available to incoming freshman students who want to experience the incredible opportunities in international travel, innovative internships, applied research, and cultural experiences. This is a one-time award of $2,500 that is applied to the recipient's tuition for their first year on campus.
This scholarship is awarded in tandem with the Centennial Experience High Impact Practices Scholarship, which provides an award of $2,500 which can be used to participate in a study abroad or immersion experiences, internships, and/or undergraduate research experiences at UW-Eau Claire. The recipient can use this money at any time from their first year at UW-Eau Claire through the end of their junior year Any unused funds at the start of the recipient's senior year will be applied to their tuition in the form of a straight scholarship.
To be considered for Incoming Freshman Student Admissions Scholarships, you must first be admitted to the university. Once you are admitted, you must:
The Admissions Office will coordinate the selection process, which is highly competitive. Applications will be considered holistically and include a review of the student's high school transcript, test scores, essays, class rank, class rigor, activities/involvement, etc.
|Selection Deadline||Screening of candidates will begin in December for some early awards and continue through the spring or until awards are accepted.|
|Notification||Scholarship award notices will be sent to scholarship recipients by the beginning of April of student's senior year. If scholarships are declined, they will be re-awarded to alternates through the summer months.|
|Thank You||Recipients are expected to write thank you letters addressed to 'Foundation Board Members' and send them in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation office.|
