|Departments: The Watershed Institute||Categories: Environmental Public Health | Farm or Rural Community|
|Amount||One award of $1,000.|
Available to students from Wisconsin family farms, who have financial need and are entering or continuing study in environmental public health. Academic achievement will also be considered for the award. Recipients must be attending UW-Eau Claire for the entire academic year; applicants who will be graduating after the fall semester will not be eligible to receive this award. A FAFSA must be on file in the financial aid office to verify financial need.
If there are not a sufficient number of approved applicants from family farms, consideration will be given to students who are from a rural Wisconsin area (not specifically a farm) and meet the other criteria. A rural area is defined as a township, village, or city with a population of less than 20,000 based on the most recent Federal Census.
