|Amount||A variable number of awards up to $1,000. Total amount available is $55,000.|
|Eligibility Criteria||The Diversity Incentive Scholarship is intended to recruit and retain students of color enrolled at UW-Eau Claire, as well as encourage student involvement in furthering equity, diversity and inclusivity at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. This scholarship is funded by the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
Students (both new and continuing) must be enrolled full-time, be in good academic standing, and demonstrate involvement and/or leadership in furthering equity, diversity and inclusivity. Financial need is considered but is not required to receive the scholarship. Recipients must maintain full-time status through-out the academic year in order to keep the award.
The funds for these awards will only be released to the recipients after meeting with an advisor in the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
|Application Procedure||The Diversity Incentive Scholarship application is available online at Gold for Blugolds Scholarship Network. Admitted, eligible students are encouraged to apply. If you meet the eligibility requirements and cannot access the online application, please contact the Office of Multicultural Affairs at 715-836-3367 or 888-895-4903. Students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) via online in order to apply for other financial aid. If other grants or awards are available, they will be counted as part of the Diversity Incentive award prior to the addition of the financial support from the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.|
|Selection Procedure||Office of Multicultural Affairs staff will determine scholarship recipients.|
|Notification||The Office of Multicultural Affairs will notify scholarship recipients after financial aid information has been packaged and reviewed.|
|Thank You||Recipients are expected to write thank you letters addressed to 'Foundation Board Members' and send them in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation office.|
