Eligibility Criteria

Awarded to a nontraditional student who is a parent, and is majoring or minoring in communication, journalism, and/or mass communication. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Since the donors realize that many nontraditional students may be returning to school with some college credits, this scholarship is available to junior or senior students who need additional incentive to complete their degrees.

Application Procedure Go to the Gold for Blugolds Scholarship Network. Complete the Communication and Journalism Scholarship Application.
Selection Procedure The Communication and Journalism Scholarship Committee will select the recipient.
Selection Deadline Early to mid-April.

The chair of the department will send notification to the recipient.

The winner is expected to attend the Communication and Journalism Student Excellence Recognition Reception held the last day of spring classes.
