The recipient must be accepted as a full-time student in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences traditional bachelor of science in nursing program and have financial need based on the FAFSA. Recipient must demonstrate good motivation and commitment to the nursing profession.
First preference would be a graduate of Eau Claire Memorial High School, second preference would be a graduate from a high school in the City of Eau Claire, third preference would be a graduate from a high school in Eau Claire County, and fourth preference would be a graduate from a high school in the State of Wisconsin.
This award may be renewed up to two years provided the recipient maintains a 3.2 GPA.

|Special Notes||This scholarship was established in 2009 by Marsha (Zuehlke) and Robert Steffen. Marsha graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1969 with a BSN in nursing and is a retired nurse clinician from the University Health Service at UW-Madison. Robert graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1968 with a degree in business administration and is a retired administrator from the IT department at UW-Madison.|
