Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be a sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in communication with an organizational communication emphasis and minimum resident and major GPA of 3.0. The recipient must have made a serious application to the study abroad program, and have earned at least 18 credits by the time of acceptance to study abroad for the academic year following the spring semester the scholarship is awarded.
Financial need is a requirement.

Application Procedure Go to the Gold for Blugolds Scholarship Network. Complete the Communication and Journalism Scholarship Application.
Selection Procedure The Communication and Journalism Scholarship Committee will select the recipient.
Selection Deadline Early to mid-April.
Notification

The chair of the department will send notification to the recipient.

The winner is expected to attend the Communication and Journalism Student Excellence Recognition Reception held the last day of spring classes.

Special Notes Jill Muenich is a 1988 graduate of UW-Eau Claire who focused her studies in organizational communication. She has taken those resources into the work force with such companies as PepsiCo Foods, Verizon, MassMutual Financial, Forward Community Investments, and National Guardian Life where she is currently serving as Vice President of Marketing Services.
