Special Notes Janet Tolander established this scholarship to honor Mr. Norman Muenzer. Janet graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1989 with an accounting degree. She paid her own way through college and after her sophomore year, determined that even with her full time job, she wasn't going to have enough money to continue pursuing her degree. Norman Muenzer, the father of an acquaintance, gave Janet a no-strings attached financial gift that allowed her to remain enrolled and graduate. Janet was deeply moved by Norman's kind gesture and this scholarship honors his generosity by helping someone else the way she was helped. Janet's hope is that the scholarship recipient will consider paying it forward someday by supporting this scholarship for another student.
Thank You A thank you letter should be written to Janet Tolander and forwarded to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
