Annually-rotates between Nursing and Information Systems.
Awarded alternately each year between the department of information systems and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. On odd number years, an outstanding student majoring in information systems will be selected in the spring and receive the scholarship the fall of that same year. On even number years, an outstanding nursing major will be selected.
The specific criterion for selection by each follows:
For IS, the recipient must be a full-time student when applying and receiving the award who has been admitted to the College of Business, has a cumulative and major GPA of at least 3.0, and has completed at least 90 credits by the end of the receiving semester. Other considerations include past academic record, work experience, extracurricular activities and future plans. The recipient must show financial need as required by the UW-Eau Claire Foundation's scholarship award standards
For the nursing award, the recipient must be enrolled in one of the programs offered through the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the recipient must show financial need as required by the UW-Eau Claire Foundation's scholarship award standards. The student must have at least a 3.0 GPA have demonstrated promise as a future nursing professional.

The Information Systems Scholarship Committee will make the selection for their department.
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences Scholarship Committee will select the nursing recipient.
IS deadline is the third Friday in March.
Nursing selection will be made before the annual nursing scholarship dinner in late spring.
Notification will be sent to recipients by the Information Systems Scholarship Committee chair.
Notification for the Nursing recipient will be sent by the Dean of the College of Nursing.
|Special Notes||This scholarship was established in 2007 by Willard (Bill) and Carol Korn. Bill taught at UW-Eau Claire for more than 30 years. Carol received her nursing degree from UW-Eau Claire in 1979. Both have been active in the community and University over the years.|
