There are five undergraduate student awards and two graduate student awards available. The undergraduate recipients must be at least junior nursing majors in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the graduate recipients must be studying to be Nurse Practitioners in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
|Application Procedure||To be considered for scholarships from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, you must be an admitted nursing student and meet any additional criteria as stated by the scholarships. |Selection Deadline||The nursing Scholarship Committee will review applications and select the recipient prior to the scholarship dinner.|
The Mathisons are Eau Claire natives and life-long residents. Donald Mathison graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1949 with a teaching degree in math and taught for many years in the Eau Claire area, completing his career as the first principal of South Middle School. Leatrice was an administrative secretary in the district office of the Eau Claire Area School District for 45 years. She passed away in December of 2016.
