|Amount||One award at $1,000.|
Applicants must be comprehensive geology majors with outstanding academic records and a minimum GPA in major coursework of 3.0. Applicants must have completed Geology 312 (Mineralogy-Petrology I) with a grade of at least a 'B.' In addition, leadership and participation in extracurricular activities will be considered.
Academic accomplishments will be the major criterion for selection, but recipients must also demonstrate financial need.
Previous recipients of the Golder Associates Scholarship are ineligible to reapply.

|Selection Procedure||The Geology Department will coordinate the competitive selection process.|
|Selection Deadline||On or around the end of April.|
The winner will be notified by a letter from the department chair. Applicants not receiving the scholarship will also be notified by a letter.
|Special Notes||This scholarship was established in 2005 by Gregory Beckstrom'84 of Minneapolis, MN. Gregory, a geology graduate, worked for more than 20 years for Golder Associates, a premier global group of engineering and environmental consulting companies. In 2013, Greg joined AMEC Environment & Infrastructure - Americas as vice president and upper Midwest area manager.|
