||Total amount available of $1,000. Stipends are paid to students through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office.
| Eligibility Criteria
||This fellowship will go to a student selected to be trained by faculty in performing science education outreach activities through the departments of biology, chemistry, computer science, geography, geology or physics and astronomy. Examples of possible outreach positions include: a science theatre presenter (doing physics demos), a greenhouse tour guide, a planetarium show presenter, a chemistry demo presenter, a Materials Science Center tour guide, etc. All students can apply for this fellowship, but preference will be given to science education majors.
| Application Procedure
||Go to the Gold for Blugolds Scholarship Network. Complete the scholarship application that corresponds with your major(s). The information gathered through that scholarship application will automatically enter you into consideration for all College of Arts & Sciences scholarships for which you are eligible.
| Selection Procedure
||The dean of the College of Arts and Sciences will appoint a selection committee, representing the six science departments, which will review student applications and decide which students are the most qualified, based upon the criteria provided by the faculty members wishing to have student assistants.
||An award letter will be sent to each of the recipients by the dean. In December for the fall award and in May for the spring award. Payment to the recipients will be made in the form of a check in December and May for the respective semesters after the work is completed.
