|Eligibility Criteria||Awarded to a student of junior status with a women's studies major or minor. In order to qualify, a student must have completed a minimum of 12 women's studies credits and hold a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in their major/minor. The student must also show leadership skills, preferably relating to gender issues, and incorporate feminist theory into their lives.|
|Application Procedure||Applicants are to submit a letter of application (no more than 2 pages) to include courses completed toward the major or minor, leadership skills directly related to gender issues as well as other significant leadership experiences, and give examples of how they have integrated feminist principles into their life. Also include a resume, two letters of support (at least one from a faculty member) and a transcript.|
|Application Deadline||Determined annually by women's studies office.|
|Selection Procedure||A faculty committee reviews all applications and selects the recipient.|
|Selection Deadline||Prior to Women's History Month.|
The recipient is announced at the annual women's studies celebration held during Women's History Month, where they are expected to accept their award and briefly share their contributions and experiences.
The program director submits a scholarship award form to Financial Aid.
