Eligibility Criteria

Awarded to a Native American student in good academic standing who has demonstrated artistic talent and is pursing a degree in an artistic discipline, including visual, performing and literary arts.

Preference will be shown for Wisconsin residents and members of Wisconsin tribes.

Application Procedure Applicants should submit a completed application form, at least two letters of recommendation, and a portfolio of work and/or reviews. Forms are available from the University's American Indian Program and should be submitted there as well.

Selection Procedure The American Indian Program Coordinator will review applications.
Selection Deadline May 15th
Notification Recipients are notified by letter. Whenever possible, the awarding will take place during the Wisconsin Indian Arts Festival or other appropriate event. The AIS Director will submit a Scholarship Award Form to the Financial Aid office.
Special Notes The Awards Committee reserves the right not to issue an award if no completed and qualified applicants submit an application.
