Heinrich-Dahlheimer Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

Awarded during the second semester of each academic year. Applicants must be admitted to the College of Business with a declared major in Accounting, have a grade point average of at least 3.0, have junior standing at the time the scholarship is received, and has successfully completed 'Accounting 301' with at least a B grade.

The committee will also consider the following in reviewing applications: participation in university, college, department, community and/or volunteer organizations, demonstrated potential for leadership as displayed by activities while in college, performance during study abroad, desire to enter the accounting profession with a preference to public accounting, and jobs held which are applicable toward future employment within the accounting profession.

If a tie occurs in the selection of a candidate, the award will be given to the student with the highest overall grade point average at that time. The award shall not be divided.

Selection Procedure Candidate selection will be made by the Accounting and Finance Scholarship Committee.
Notification The Accounting and Finance Department Scholarship Committee will send the recipient a notification letter.
Special Notes The Heinrich-Dahlheimer Accounting Scholarship was created by Jane and Joe Heinrich with the support of KPMG Peat Marwick.
