John and Carrie Tietz and Mrs. Lila Branger Tietz established this scholarship in May 1999. Mrs. Hofrichter was the godmother of John Tietz. Lila was a graduate of UW-Eau Claire and Mrs. Hofrichter's cousin-in-law. This scholarship recognizes Mrs. Hofrichter's many years of service in public school education in Wisconsin, her talent as an accomplished violinist and her years as an Eau Claire resident.

Thank You Letters of appreciation should be addressed to Mr. and Mrs. John Tietz in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
