Eligibility Criteria Student must have junior standing and be a full-time communication sciences and disorders major. The student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above and major GPA of 3.5 or above, have an active membership for at least one year in the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA), and show university or community involvement.
Application Procedure Applications may be download from the CSD and NSSLHA websites. Submit the form in a sealed and marked envelope to the NSSLHA office mailbox.
Application Deadline Third Friday in February.
Selection Procedure Selection will be made by faculty advisers of NSSLHA, organization officers who are in senior standing, and one graduate student representative with previous NSSLHA experience.
Selection Deadline First Friday in March.
Notification Recipients will be informed via email. The NSSLHA Adviser will submit a scholarship award form to the Financial Aid office, so the scholarships will be paid during the fall semester. Funds will be transferred directly to each recipient's tuition account.
Thank You The recipient is asked to write a thank you letter to the National Student Speech, Language, & Hearing Association, Attn: Shannon Collins, in care of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation. The letter should be forwarded to the CSD Graduate Coordinator, who will in turn forward the letter on to the Foundation.
