|Amount||$6,000 in total awards. The number of scholarships varies from year to year, depending on available funds.|
Applicants must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing with the potential for academic and career success, be a single custodial parent with dependent children, and demonstrate financial need not met by traditional forms of financial assistance. All scholarship applicants must have a FAFSA on file in the Financial Aid office.
Preference is given to female returning students.
To be considered for Nontraditional Student Scholarships, you must be admitted to the university, enrolled in courses, and be in good academic standing. Once you are admitted and enrolled, you must:
|Selection Procedure||Nontraditional Student Services will coordinate the selection process. Applications will be considered holistically and include a review of the student’s academic record and financial need (in most cases).|
|Selection Deadline||Screening of candidates will begin in April.|
|Notification||Award notices will be sent to scholarship recipients, typically in early July.|
